So I have always really liked Anderson Cooper. I am not sure if it was coverage of Hurricane Katrina, his amazing fashion sense, his snappy wit or the fact that while he is a serious journalist, he never seems to take himself or his job too seriously. But the video below of him and fellow CNN reporter Erica Hill going to town on Mama Lohan and her reaction to Cooper’s hysterical visit on Regis and Kelly is genius. For those of you new to this story, Cooper guest hosted Regis and Kelly earlier in the week and some choice words for the "Living Lohan" program and more specifically Dina Lohan. He basically called her bad mom who cares more about stardom then her kids. He also rips into Ali Lohan and how she should just be a kid. Dina got all pissy when she finally heard what he said and contacted OK! Magazine to give a comment. Anderson then discussed the issue with Erica Hill in an extremely funny way, per the video below. Please check it out.
Anderson is a refreshing change in Hollywood and the media. He is not afraid to lay some punches when it comes to these celebrities who seem to only be famous for being famous. His blunt honesty regarding the yucky soul sucking “Living Lohan” program is a bit of fresh air in this celebrity ass kissing world we are in now. And Mama and Papa Lohan should really shut their traps unless they feel like going to head with Cooper on an actual news program and not a snippy comment sent to a gossip rag.

The beauty that is Lohan.....
Even though my boyfriend promised to break up with me if I watch the upcoming Lohan family reality program, Living Lohan on E!, I will still tune in. I mean what kind of pop culture blog journalist would I be if I didn’t research this firsthand? My ass is all excited after seeing the following clip of the highly anticipated program that highlights why stage moms should receive special places in hell. This coupled with Vh1’s I Know My Kid’s a Star can truly explain why success stories like Lindsay Lohan, Dana Plato and Corey Haim were possible. Maybe in the next few years parents will push their kids to read books more and become scientists, but who knows. I know I will be fully participating in the corrupting of the minor that is Ali Lohan and can not wait to see my hometown, Merrick, all over E!, while hearing the word song pronounced SAWNG! The show will focus on the "momager" to Ali Lohan, young sis of my starlet crush Lindsay, and her quest for the fame and fortune that sent her sister into rehab three times before age 21. Got to love a chick with goals. Capitalizing on the success of her eldest, Dina ushers her youngins around town, lets her fourteen year old daughter dress like a mini-me and has no problem avoiding sending any of her daughters to school. Enjoy the bliss that is Mama Lohan….

Lohan "does" Monroe in New York Magazine

Odds are by now that you have seen photos from the spread Lindsay Lohan did for this week's issue of New York Magazine. The starlet was given the opportunity to shoot with Bert Stern, whom took the original shoot with Marilyn Monroe, which turned out to be her last before her untimely death. Lohan was also interviewed for the shoot and discussed everything from her own struggle with drugs and alcohol, and the recent untimely death of actor Heath Ledger. while Lindsay remained certain that she would be come out victorious in the battle of her addictions, she was cautious not to sound to certain in the article.
While Lindsay has nothing in the near future to promote with the shoot, she did say that being asked to recreate these pictures was a once in a lifetime opportunity too good to pass up. Obviously, from the picture, Ms. Lohan is attempting to remove herself from anything Disney or cookie cutter, as well as remain intriguing gossip fodder. And since the photo shoot was basically a nude Lindsay and some sheer fabric, it was an interesting choice to bring along her fourteen year old sister, Alli as her companion. I do hope that Lohan begins to move in the direction she needs to to have a successful career within Hollywood, but it does seem that her main objective right now is to stay in the public eye, as opposed to picking good projects. And for a girl who has battled addiction so obviously this year, it is an interesting turn of events to "embody" the original gossip star, whose long battle with sadness, unfulfilled love and addictions led to her ultimate demise. Whatever comes her way, these pictures are beautiful and I hope that her "love" for Marilyn remains just an aesthetic.

Ohh Lohan....
Most of you know that I have a very important place in my heart for my hometown girl Lindsay Lohan. I think this picture can pretty much sum up why the girl went crazy last year.

Daily Rounds....
As predicted by myself last week, Superbad hit the number one spot this weekend! The Apatow clan vehicle, starring Michael Cera, Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen, made over 31 million dollars this weekend and cementing the new group of comedians in Hollywood. This summer has been amazing for Judd Apatow and his loyal band of funny men with the success of Knocked Up and now, Superbad. And many industry insiders are now describing Apatow and his group the new hit makers. Personally, I am pretty sure NBC is kicking themselves for canceling this FREAKING AMAZING show show after one season. And here are the rest of this weekend’s box office results:

Aftertnoon Snack

SHOCKER: Michael Lohan speaks out Doesn't anyone have a muzzle? Lohan is speaking out against the tell all Lindsay's ex body guard gave to IN TOUCH magazine. (More on Lohan this Saturday on Spielster
And speaking of reality, here is the weekly recap in all reality happenings:
"Hells Kitchen" jerks off for an entire episode. We are stuck waiting another week to see which mediocre chef will win the competition
And finally, MTV stoops to its lowest common denominator and puts together the single worst cast of Real World possible. Syndey doesn't deserve this I can already see where this shit is going and I am not a fan...And these bastards get to kick it up in Australia for 4 months. The best part of the first episode was when Parisa didn't want to party anymore, Kelly Anne, sick body from Texas, goes " Then what is she doing on this show? Let's make her cry and send her home." This ain't Big Brother dummy! The (one time) basis of the show was to learn from different people and open your eyes. Not to have threesomes in the jacuzzi with your roommates.
